چکیده

Our paper focuses on a robustness analysis of efficiency scores in the context Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) assuming interval scale data, as defined A. Dehnokhalaji, P. J. Korhonen, M. Köksalan, N. Nasrabadi and Wallenius, “Efficiency to incorporate data”, European Journal Operational Research 207 (2), 2010, pp. 1116–1121. We first show that definition score used our is well-defined measure according Aparicio Pastor (J. T. Pastor, “A for dealing with closest targets DEA”, Applied Mathematics Computation 219 (17), 2013, 9142–9154.). Next, we characterize how robust are respect improvements deteriorations inputs outputs. illustrate two examples: simple numerical example more complex using real-world data.

Dealing with interval scale data in data envelopment analysis

This paper considers the problem of interval scale data in the most widely used models of Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA), the CCR and BCC models. Radial models require inputs and outputs measured on the ratio scale. Our focus is on how to deal with interval scale variables especially when the interval scale variable is a difference of two ratio scale variables like profit or the decrease/incre...

Interval efficiency assessment using data envelopment analysis

This paper studies how to conduct efficiency assessment using data envelopment analysis (DEA) in interval and/or fuzzy input–output environments. A new pair of interval DEA models is constructed on the basis of interval arithmetic, which differs from the existing DEA models handling interval data in that the former is a linear CCR model without the need of extra variable alternations and uses a...

Scale Efficiency Measurement in Data Envelopment Analysis with Interval Data: A Two-Level Programming Approach

Conventional data envelopment analysis (DEA) for measuring the relative efficiency of a set of decisionmaking units (DMUs) requires the observations to have precise values. When observations are imprecise and represented by interval values, the efficiencies are also expected to reflect interval values. Several methods exist to calculate the interval overall and technical efficiencies, but such ...

Robust efficiency in data envelopment analysis with VRS technology

One of the fundamental problems in the classic DEA is lack of ability to distinguish unit's performance scores that is considered as a disadvantage. Recently, Parkan et al. [9] tried to address this problem.   They proposed to assess each unit both optimistic and pessimistic views are taken into account. In contrast to traditional evaluation, one index is considered for each unit based on the l...

Cost Efficiency Measures In Data Envelopment Analysis With Nonhomogeneous DMUs

In the conventional data envelopment analysis (DEA), it is assumed that all decision making units (DMUs) using the same input and output measures, means that DMUs are homogeneous. In some settings, however, this usual assumption of DEA might be violated. A related problem is the problem of textit{missing} textit{data} where a DMU produces a certain output or consumes a certain input but the val...
